- How many times a day should I use it?
It can be used morning and night; in fact, its innovative formula leaves skin nourished and hydrated while removing impurities. However, for speed, we usually recommend using Purifying Cleansing Beauty Cream in the mornings.
- Does it remove waterproof makeup and mascaras?
Yes, it does. We recommend massaging a small amount of the product onto dry skin, including the eye contour, then activating it with warm water and gently emulsifying to remove makeup residue.
- What skin types is it recommended for?
It is suitable for all skin types, especially those looking for a deeper daily cleanse, such as combination or congested skin.
- I am pregnant, can I use it?
According to all available studies and their conclusions, it does not contain any ingredients that are prohibited during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Its formula is free of essential oils and perfumes.
- Does it help with acne?
Its exclusive blend of plant-derived activated charcoal and purifying clay makes it work exceptionally well for acne-prone skin. The combination of these two ingredients calms and purifies the skin, naturally eliminating impurities and excess oil. Furthermore, it also contains sunflower oil, known for its high linoleic acid content, which helps improve sebum quality in acne-prone skin.
- It contains clay; does it dry out the skin?
In addition to being purifying, kaolin has moisturizing and soothing properties, so it does not dry out the skin. The formula also contains other highly moisturizing and restorative ingredients such as sunflower oil and orange distilled water, which leave the skin refreshed and soothed.
- Can it be used as part of a double cleanse?
It is a transforming texture cleanser designed to provide the skin with a delicate yet deep cleanse, making it perfect as a single step. If you prefer to double cleanse at night, we recommend using it as the second step.
- Is it removed with water or with a muslin cloth/mitt?
Charcoal Peace Calming Cleanser contains emulsifiers, so it can be easily removed with warm water. However, as it contains activated charcoal, we have designed a new, super-soft black organic cotton mitt to facilitate the removal of both makeup residue and the cleanser itself, thus avoiding staining our favorite towels.
- I’ve tried it and I love its texture; why is that?
It is a "tri-phase" cleanser, meaning it transforms from gel-to-oil-to-milk upon contact with water. This innovative texture provides a deep and sensorial cleansing ritual for your face. It's a real pleasure for the skin!
- How can I combine it with other cleansers?
Use it as a second step after Clementine Cleansing Balm or combine it with Purifying Cleansing Beauty Cream (mornings) and Charcoal Peace Calming Cleanser at night.
