It doesn't foam, so how does it clean the face?
The combination of plant-derived oils I use in this cleansing milk works together to dissolve sebum, dirt, pollution, and makeup. The addition of an emulsifier derived from coconut oil makes dirt and impurities easily slide off the skin when we rinse the face with warm water after applying the product. It provides a delicate yet effective cleanse.
How many times a day should I use it?
I recommend using it twice a day. In the morning, apply it with a light massage to damp skin and then rinse your face with warm water. At night, after being exposed to pollution and environmental factors during the day, it's time for a deeper cleanse, so I recommend massaging the product onto the skin for longer, dampening the face with a little water until it emulsifies, and then again, rinsing the face with warm water to finish. It can also be applied directly to damp skin.
Does it remove waterproof mascara?
I don't recommend using it around the eyes. In my opinion, liquid waxes are best for removing it, as they don't compromise the delicate eye area. For example, I love organic jojoba oil, and from a chemical standpoint, it's a liquid wax. It's a great natural alternative to conventional makeup removers. Simply add a few drops to a moistened cotton pad, place it over the eye to loosen the makeup, and then remove the mascara with a gentle swipe.
What results can I expect to see?
This cleansing milk contains a high concentration of natural squalene (our skin's own natural squalene is often compromised when we cleanse it), and for this reason, it is the only cleansing milk I know that returns to the skin what it loses when we cleanse it, thus minimizing the damaging and dehydrating effects of cleansing in general. It contains a powerful combination of organic antioxidants (white genepi, buddleja, mallow, and imperatoria), for repaired, radiant, and comforted skin. It is as protective as it is corrective. Instead of simply being a product to remove makeup, it is something much more effective than that: It is the first step towards balanced and regenerated skin.
What skin types is it recommended for?
I'm not a fan of classifying skin into different categories, as I believe that skin goes through different stages and can be affected by stress, pollution, and, in many cases, by using incorrect products, resulting in skin with low lipid content (known as dry skin) or excessive sebum production (oily/combination skin) or even skin prone to itching, burning, pain, pruritus, tingling, and itching (sensitive skin). Taking into account the composition of the cleansing milk and feedback from our customers, I'm happy to say that it effectively cleanses all skin types, even the most sensitive.
What is the pH of this cleansing milk?
The average pH value is 4.98, which is slightly acidic and similar to the pH of our own skin.
Is it vegan?
Yes, the entire TWELVE BEAUTY collection is vegan.
I'm pregnant, can I use it?
According to all available studies and their conclusions, it does not contain any ingredient that should not be used during pregnancy or lactation, and although the word "parfum" appears in the ingredient list, it refers to a fragrance composed of a standardized blend of organic essential oils in a very low dose that poses no threat to the health of pregnant women. However, I always recommend that you consult your doctor if you have doubts: We are all unique, and one rule does not apply to everyone.
Can I incorporate this cleansing milk into my routine if I already use a cleansing balm to remove my makeup?
Because Purifying Cleansing Beauty Cream restores squalene levels in our skin and does not alter its acid mantle, the answer is yes, of course, it can be used as a second cleansing step without any problem.
When will I start to see results?
This cleansing milk should be used daily, but there are cases in which results are noticeable from the first use. Normally after one week, the improvement in the skin is noticeable.
Why are you so proud of this product?
As a formulator, I was inspired by the seven golden rules to create a technically perfect cleansing milk that is highly compatible with our skin.
These golden rules are as follows:
It must not contain foaming emulsifiers, and all emulsifiers used must be natural and non-irritating to the skin.
It must have a pH similar to the upper layers of the skin (approx. pH 5).
It must not contain any mineral oil. Instead, it must be rich in natural or derived oils.
It must contain substances with strong emollient capabilities and must be compatible with the skin's composition.
In addition to cleansing the skin, it must also contain ingredients that soothe, refresh, and hydrate it.
It must contain fragrances that have been thoroughly tested and must not contain pure essential oils.
The emulsion must be stable for a long period of time without separating and must contain a natural preservative to prevent oxidation.
What is its expiration date?
By law, when an unopened product has a minimum durability of more than 30 months, it is not required to display an expiration date. Similarly, to show how long a product lasts after opening, the container must display the "open jar" symbol. This symbol indicates how many months manufacturers guarantee the safety of their product once opened and with normal use. The Purifying Cleansing Beauty Cream remains fresh for 6 months after its first use.
