Formulating natural products could be compared to climbing to the top of a mountain. Discovering the best path, choosing the necessary equipment, and detecting possible difficulties. The initial enthusiasm for reaching the highest peak, in our case obtaining the final formulation, makes the mountainside go unnoticed. It is precisely here that many plants of botanical interest choose to make their home.
In my case, the arduous climb began by identifying an ingredient: the willowherb plant. Organically cultivated in the lower Swiss Alps. Fragile in appearance but packed with potent ingredients, this miracle of nature improves the skin's appearance from its very first application:
Enemy of bad bacteria
Decreases strains of Cutibacterium acnes (linked to excess sebum and acne) and Corynebacterium kroppenstedtii (responsible for redness).
The more flavonoids, the better
One of the most important characteristics of this plant is its high content of flavonoids, which are among the most potent antioxidants present in the plant kingdom.
Approved Prebiotic
They stimulate healthy skin bacteria such as Staphylococcus epidermidis and Micrococcus yunnanensis.
Oenothein B, a great molecule
Despite being largely unknown, several studies have been conducted, concluding its influence on the enzyme responsible for excessive sebum production.
